Anubhav Sinha’s upcoming film ‘Anek,’ starring Ayushmann Khurrana, will now be released in theatres on May 27. It was originally scheduled to be released on May 13, but the producers changed the date due to a shift in market sentiment.

Sinha and Bhushan Kumar, the film’s producers, also seek to prevent a new film clash with Yash Raj Films’ Ranveer Singh-starrer ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar.’

The decision, according to Yash Raj Films CEO Akshaye Widhani, will assist both films obtain a fair share of audience attention. The trailer for ‘Anek’ has also been attached to ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ by YRF. As the film industry rebounds from the pandemic’s losses, Kumar said it’s critical to support one another. “Both ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ and ‘Anek’ are exciting films, and we’re pleased to have the ‘Anek’ trailer tied to ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar,'” he said.

Kumar’s T-Series and Sinha’s Benaras Mediaworks collaborated on ‘Anek.’ After the 2019 film ‘Article 15,’ this is the director’s second collaboration with Khurrana.
