Maidaan is an upcoming biographical sports movie based on the golden era of Indian football (1952-62) and starring Ajay Devgn as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim.
Zee Studios presents Maidaan is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and produced by Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta and Akash Chawla. This film also features Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh.
Maidaan will be released on 5 Oct 2020 on the eve of Dussehra.
2. Jersey
Jersey is an upcoming sports drama film starring Shahid Kapoor as a cricketer portrayed. Along with Shahid this film also features Mrunal Thakhur and Pankaj Tripathi. The story of this film is about a thirty six year old cricketer who stopped his cricketing career ten years ago, now aiming to play for Indian team.
Geetha Arts & Sri Venkateswara Creations presents Jersey is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and produced by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill and Dil Raju.
3. 83
83 will be the first film which shows the first world cup win of India. This movie features Ranveer Singh in a character of legend cricketer and former captain of Indian team Kapil Dev. This film stars a huge cast and this movie will released in all over India in five different languages- Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
83 will be released on 4 June 2021 in 2D and 3D as well on big screens.
